A space for learning, creating, and connecting through photography

I have never been more excited in a classroom than in Fred’s. His way of conducting the class, his references, and his general teachings have influenced and expanded my work in ways that make every project I start a complex and exciting endeavour.I entered his course understanding myself as a photojournalist and ended feeling that I could and should do much more than just photojournalism. I am proud to call myself one of his students and know that any person interested in the documentary practices (or just the human condition) will be greatly affected and changed by his ideas.

Anja's course helped me to get out of my comfort zone and grow as a photographer — the assignments and the feedback helped me to be more honest about my work and challenge myself more. I cannot stress enough how useful her courses would be for anyone looking to improve as a storyteller and photographer. I really enjoyed the interactive part where you can speak and see the other people in class in real time — it really brings up the learning experience.  

Over the past two years I have taken four live online classes and it has been a very rewarding experience. I have especially enjoyed the global nature of these classes, having been in class with photographers from India, Sweden, Monaco, South Korea, and Germany. In addition to improving my photographic skills, I have learned a great deal about the cultures of and conditions in other countries.  

I just wanted to express my gratitude to you for that community portrait class with Olga. She was so lovely, as were the other students. I learned so much about other photographers and feel so inspired walking away from the class. It got me out into the world, asking strangers to take their photos which has been a dream of mine to get into and I’m excited to see where it might take me.
