Nuits d’Arbres
by Arnaud Barey
Nuits d’Arbres is the fruit of many nights spent photographing in Central Park over the course of four years, trying to capture its unique atmosphere and other-worldly colors, whether in the glacial, desolate winter, or in the luxuriance of the summer, always using available light only.
Along with the very expressive and sensuous images, this extraordinary book itself has a beautiful feel, to hold in the hands and turn the pages.
The book is Ota-bound; interior pages are 200g Arena Natural Rough paper with vellum inserts. Cover is 350g Sirio Color Dark Purple. Printed with the Heidelberg Versafire / Ricoh C9200 by iNPRESSCO (Aix-les-Bains).
Arnaud Barey was born in France in 1972 and lived in New York City for 10 years, where he started night photography, drawn by the colors, the eeriness, the unexpected found in the neon-lit streets, as well as in the dark alleys of parks.
