In Part 1, we’ll explore the technical and historical foundations of AI in photography by unraveling the algorithms, tracing its evolution, and learning how it got to where it is today.
Many of us have been hearing about Artificial Intelligence and what its use might mean — whether it’s simply a plagiarism machine, or a miracle for mankind, the end of human life, or something in between. Through this series of three Mini-workshops you’ll gain a better understanding of AI’s impact on photography and our creativity, and engage in lively discussion on its role in the future of artistic expression. Stefan Frank is a photographer living in Heidelberg, Germany. After completing degrees in philosophy and mathematics, he studied photography at Ostkreuzschule in Berlin, and at Atelier Smedsby in Paris. His work has been exhibited throughout Germany, and he has created a variety of different photography series on extensive travels across Asia.
