In Daniel Karlsson’s early 20s, he photographed friends, family, and the wrestlers of his own teen wrestling team. Married now, and as a parent of two young boys, he portrays the day-to-day lives of his immediate family. Daniel studied at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City from 2001–2003, and he studied film at the UCLA Extension in Los Angeles, 2003–2005. Since 2007 he has worked as a freelance photographer doing architecture and portraits. He has also taught filmmaking at Lund University, Teaterhögskola Malmö, from 2014–2020.

Eri Morita’s 20-year series, published as the book Moon Rainbow in 2024, traces the birth and coming of age of her daughter, with pictures of her husband and other family members, and was the Grand Prize Winner of the 4th Fugensha Photography Award in Japan. Eri Morita was born in Kumamoto, Japan,  raised in Tokyo, and now based in California. She studied photography at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York after graduating from Ferris University. Her work explores family, memory, and everyday life. Her earlier series, Home Drama, was exhibited internationally and published in 2005.

Irene Wolpert, fine arts photographer based in New York City, recently began scanning pictures she made as a child almost 60 years ago and continuing through her first childbirth. Her canny observations of family and friends are full of wonder and humor. Her journey into photography began as a young child taking photographs of my family and friends. She is a graduate of the International Center of Photography’s Advanced Track Program (Certificate); Brandeis University (BA); and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (MBA).
