Chrystofer Davis is a Bajan-American photographer and filmmaker — and a Newark, NJ native — whose work is influenced by street/portrait photography and contemporary culture. He’ll be discussing his documentation of his community in Newark: artists, activists, events, stores, restaurants, and street merchants. He feels that — as a documentary/street photographer — it’s important to capture and preserve what’s happening in his city, to spread awareness, and to create a document for future generations to reflect on.

Anja Hitzenberger leads the conversation and Q&A after the presentation.
