James Lattanzio
James Lattanzio is a conceptual artist, award-winning photographer, and curator. He is a graduate of both the Creative Practices and Documentary and Visual Journalism programs at the International Center of Photography (ICP), receiving an ICP Directors Fellowship to attend. He has been a teaching assistant to ICP Director David Campany, ICP Dean Emeritus Fred Ritchin, and Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism chairperson Karen Marshall among many others. His work has been exhibited in galleries including Klompching Gallery (Brooklyn) and Mana Contemporary (New Jersey). As a commercial photographer, James's clients have included Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, and Ralph Lauren among many other fashion companies. In 2021, he was awarded the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation Fellowship to continue his work on his long-term project about caregiving and disability, and most recently he was invited to attend the SIM artist residency in Iceland. He founded Studio 18, a studio and gallery specializing in conceptual documentary photography in New York City, in early 2025.
